The Old Forge

Having laid, unused, for about 30 years, the old forge adjoining our house was a treasure trove of artefacts.  However, our plans are to convert this to our living room (salle de sejours) and so all the old ironwork had to go.  Having obtained planning permission, our builder was contracted to install a new set of French doors opening out onto the back garden and to brick up the original front doors and convert this to a window.  A new rear roof was fitted, having been damaged in some gales.
